DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) SCENE ANALYSIS

In this scene we see how quickly the zombies move; they are considered to be fast moving monsters, this is because the sub-genre of this film is an action horror. Cinematography is important in creating a fast paced sequence with multiple camera movements and point of view shots. In terms of editing collision cutting is used a lot for example there will be a slow motion shot of a gun shell hitting the floor juxtaposed with a shot of lots of zombies getting shot, this focuses the spectators attention more. The body horror is a lot worse and the zombies are more sadistic because censorship is a lot less strict and the audience are lot tougher due to the institutional and historical context of the film.  Another modern horror that shows that censorship is a lot more relaxed would be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) remake as it is a lot harsher than the original which was made in 1974.
